Frameless, framed or rolled?

Frameless Prints -

Frameless images offer a strong point of difference to the traditional framed piece, utilising the best possible grade of materials for each.
Seemingly floating off the wall, each finish will produce a different style and create a unique atmosphere.
Acrylic glass and brushed aluminium are the pick for many looking to upgrade and move into a clean, aesthetically appealing style of display.

Rolled Prints -

Paper prints are produced with a high quality fine art paper print on cotton rag archival 310gsm Ilford Galerie paper.
The paper has a minimal sheen look, with a long-lasting archival base to withstand the test of time.
It is best to avoid touching the print without cotton gloves - finger marks will stand out.
Paper prints have the classic option of traditional framing available through custom framing specialists.

PRINT VARIATIONS

Unframed Paper Prints are rolled and ready to be framed in your desired frame finish with your trusted vendor. As image sizes on this website are not the stock standard, it is best to contact a custom framing vendor for the task.

Framed Paper Prints utilise quality grade framing materials for a traditional looking finish, with three main framing options available - oak, black and white. For custom framing options, do get in contact to find a finish which will best suit your décor. It is recommended to consider a brushed aluminium or canvas option where the environment has a lot of light bouncing around the room due to its reflective properties.

Acrylic Glass is a high quality finish for modern style homes. Mounted behind a 4.5mm thick layer of acrylic glass to offer a reflective finish, this is a great alternative for brushed aluminium with its reflective properties.
Often well utilised in spaces with down lights and dimply lit environments to bring extra life to a space, the finish is a fan favourite by many.

Brushed Aluminium finishes are very similar to acrylic glass behind the image, however the non-reflective qualities offer a strong point of difference. With a unique look, the displays suit environments with lots of light flooding through.
The matte finish ties into its environment seamlessly to compliment its surroundings.

Mounted Canvas are always going to be a great choice for an affordable option to the Acrylic and Aluminium alternatives.
Using the best possible grade of materials, the final finish has a matte sheen similar to the fine art paper with the classic canvas dimples.
Minimal image quality is lost due to the high standard of materials used in the process. For an extra hint of class, add the floating frame option to a canvas for a more unique final product.


Determining the most suitable option -

The largest factor in determining the most suitable print variation is often the environment it will be situated within.
For well lit environments with light bouncing around, a non-reflective finish such as Brushed Aluminium or Canvas is recommended.
These two are the safest options. as they are versatile, and can be taken from one space to another without worry.

For downlit environments with specialised lighting set ups - consider a Framed print in your choice of frame, or an Acrylic Glass display. Although it can be eye catching and present an impactful presence, acrylic glass and framed prints can be severely impacted by the lighting environment.

If you're thinking about acrylic glass or brushed aluminium, you're right on the money.
Traditional style?
Rolled and ready to frame, or readily framed prints.
A more 'affordable' option?
Canvas or a rolled print will always suffice! Canvas' can always be upgraded to a floating frame in the future for that extra element


Shipping

All displays are custom made to order once your order is placed. Premium displays may take up to ten business days to be produced dependant on material availability.
Classic displays may take up to five business days. All products once produced will be shipped and received within five to eight business days.
Shipping of premium displays is not available for international orders due to the limitations and risks associated.
For international orders, a rolled print to be custom framed upon arrival will be the best suited alternative.

Returns

Unfortunately as all orders are custom made, we are unable to offer returns for change of mind, so please do make sure you are happy with your decision!
If the display is damaged upon arrival through travelling, please take images of the damage and send them directly to sean@atrottingfox.com.au so we can process your order and recreate your display ASAP.
